Mixed Media – Echoes of the past –
( Inks, pen and watercolour)
Reflecting the idea of lost worlds, the Temporary nature of construction and the mysterious magnificent of its rediscovery. Layers of thinly applied washes describe natural light descending on remnants of human making. Sections are worked in pen to describe the way ruins crumble and deteriorate at different rates. The sections and arches are overlapped to illogically make sense describing our misunderstanding over what ancient ruins were used for.
