Mixed media on canvas – It Never Rains But It Pours – 2016
(Acrylic, Gouache, dyes, inks & liquid gold. )
Response to seeing two city workers deep in conversation beneath the Gherkin, London. Imagining discussion concerning fluctuation in financial dealings. Tones of blues are illuminated by the use of liquid gold cascading from above, exploring the idea of prospective deals. The figures, contemplating ‘what if’s’, unaware of the changes around them.
